Agra celebrates 38 years

Agra celebrated 38 years of existence in Namibia on 24 August.

It has built a prolific reputation over the years, establishing itself as major roleplayer in the agricultural sector.

The company, which was established in 1980, has grown from strength to strength and is grateful and proud to have come through trials and tribulations to become an indispensable part of the entire Namibian community.

Through 20 retail branches, from Karasburg in the south to Rundu in the north, Agra provides in a wide range of products needed for agricultural production, as well as an extensive range of groceries and hardware. Auas Wholesalers is Agra’s specialist distributor of products to the retail sector in Namibia.

Agra Auctions provides professional auctioneering services countrywide for livestock, game, properties and movable goods.

The hunting and outdoor division provides for the needs of the hunter, shooter and outdoor enthusiast, through Safari Den and A. Rosenthal, which sells all the well-known and trusted brands.

Auas Vet Med is a specialist outlet for veterinary pharmaceutical, animal healthcare and pet accessories. Agra contributes largely to development in the agricultural sector through the inputs and services of Agra ProVision. This division, with extensive knowledge and expertise, provides professional advice, consultations, planning assistance, training and mentoring in various fields of agricultural production.

Agra’s hardware range has been extended with the incorporation of the DIY product range in certain Agra branches.

The Agra Pelt Centre is the only centre in Namibia providing services to sort and export Swakara pelts for the two international pelt auctions hosted annually in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Agra owns properties all over Namibia, housing our retail branches, auction facilities and people. Agra continuously invests in local infrastructure to ensure the highest level of service to clients.

Agra Properties manages its properties and also facilitates property transactions, such as leasing, acquisitions and auctions.
