#BalanceforBetter Banking this Women’s Day

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is #BalanceforBetter.

“What better way to ensure better balance as a woman than to have control over your own finances and family life?” says FNB communications manager Elzita Beukes.

“Now more than ever it is important for women to take an active role in their financial affairs. By doing so women will gain more clarity, confidence and control of their lives,” Beukes adds.

“Everyone, and women in particular, should work according to their budget. When you get your salary, you should have priorities on what to pay first and spend 15% on yourself.”

Women should keep to a strict financial management system.

“As a woman, you need to spread your finances and still have a balanced life. Your attitude of how you wake up in the morning determines your success,” she explains.

Beukes advises women to be strong-minded and have a soft heart. “Kindness has never left a scar, so be kind to everyone, including yourself.”

FNB Namibia offers several great products which appeal to women, such as the FNB banking app that allows women to transact, buy electricity and airtime, and send money to children and family members quickly and conveniently from the palm of their hand.

Women are assuming more responsibility and it is no longer about work/life balance but rather work/life integration.

“At FNB we believe that financial education and the right tools can help provide women with the confidence to tackle life’s daily challenges, while ensuring that women have the peace of mind they deserve.”
