One of the biggest financial publications, The Banker, recently announced Bank Windhoek as its bank of the year 2019. At the event hosted in London on 28 November, the judges said Bank Windhoek was Namibia’s best performing bank in a difficult economic climate.

“The judges were impressed not only by the bank’s strong financial performance, but also by innovative initiatives such as its landmark Green Bond offering and its Woman in Business product range," said John Everington, the publication’s Middle East and Africa editor.
