Endangered Species Biologist

Biologists examine organic life plants and animals, in order to understand how they function, how they evolve, how the wildlife interacts with its ecology and much more. They will study animal and plant life, on land and in the various bodies of water around our planet.

Conservationist

Commonly employed in local, state and federal government, wildlife conservationists work to preserve the habitats of plants and animals. Their job duties include studying soil and water, as well as striving to prevent wildfires.

Fisheries Biologist

Fishery biologists study fish for various research purposes such as understanding disease, natural habitats, and fish behaviour. They can choose to work in fields related to basic fishery research or applied research.

Fishery Manager

Fishery Managers oversee the activities that occur at a fishery, which includes but is not limited to: screening cultivation areas, monitoring fish growth, maintaining equipment, prepping food, distributing medications, and coordinate with other managers in affiliated fisheries.

Forest Fire-fighter

Forest Fire-fighters usually work on a fire fighting team or crew. They use water pumps, chemical pumps, or shovels to extinguish flames and embers and prevent fires. In some cases, they rescue hikers and other people trapped in fire areas and provide emergency medical treatment.

Forest Health Specialist

A senior forest health specialist may take on leadership and supervisory duties, which could include: Supervise seasonal technicians and junior staff members. Respond to requests for assistance from local foresters, industrial and private forest landowners.

Forest Ranger

Rangers are often the first responders to natural or manmade threats to forest areas and rangelands. They help combat forest fires and perform search and rescue missions. They may also work to prevent harm by patrolling forest areas on foot or in vehicles, snowmobiles and ATVs.

Forester

A forester is a person who practices forestry, the science, art, and profession of managing forests. Foresters engage in a broad range of activities including ecological restoration and management of protected areas.

Horticulturalist

Commercial horticulturists are responsible for overseeing the growth, harvesting, packaging, selling and distribution of crops. Commercial horticulturists are employed by organisations such as farms, pick-your-own establishments and nurseries.

Horticulture Technician

A horticultural technician grows plants and herbs for medicinal, educational, research or aesthetic purposes. A technician will grow plants in a nursery, an outdoor garden, or on a landscape plot and maintain the plants through planting, trimming and fertilizing them for proper maintenance.
