First National Bank will take part in Namibia Tourism Expo to provide learners with the tools and resources to help them make important and valuable career decisions. The Namibia Tourism Expo will start on the 30th May to the 02nd June and will be at the Windhoek Showgrounds.

“We thought it fitting to take part in the expo to help learners with the first steps toward meaningful employment through a unique and engaging exchange of information” said FNB’s group communications manager, Elzita Beukes.

This year the expo will celebrate its 20th birthday under the theme, ‘Small things Matters’. Since its inception in 1999, the expo has shown significant growth and earned a reputation in Namibia’s tourism industry.

“FNB has made significant contributions to economic growth and social development through employment creation and the financing of industries. It is our people that carried the Group over the years and thereby enabled us to make a difference both in their lives and those of others workers within the country” said Beukes.

Apart from presenting a highly effective showcase for exhibitors, the organisers have revitalised the exhibition year after year by expanding the showcase. The Namibia Tourism Expo is a premier marketing and networking platform for Namibia’s tourism industry. The expo gives exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their products to local travel enthusiasts and guests from around the world.

Beukes said that learners can look forward to engaging and expect exciting activities.

“Our stall is in the form of an interesting and interactive engagement where secondary school learners will have the opportunity to take an aptitude test and view an array of career based videos to give them more guidance on a career path. Our HR consultants will also be on standby to answer any questions. The stall will also boast a variety of tourism specific careers” she added.
