For the love of cricket

Cricket Namibia (CN) handed over two artificial cricket mats to Walvis Bay Primary School and Walvis Bay Private High School last week. CN was on a weeklong roadshow at the coast, and they also hosted skill sessions in Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. The two mats are still the property of CN, but the entity has a memorandum of understanding with the schools that certain conditions need to be met while the mats are in their possession. These conditions include further developing cricket at both schools. CN donates five mats to schools across the country. In addition to Walvis Bay, two schools in Windhoek and one in Outjo received mats. Both coastal schools expressed their gratitude towards Cricket Namibia and said these mats will help in the further development of cricket along the coast.
