De Duine Secondary School welcomed learners from Coastal High School, Swakopmund with open hands as they visited the school on February 5th 2020. The learners from Coastal High attended classes with our grade 12 students and they said that we really have experienced teachers that will go the extra mile for us. They really enjoyed attending classes with us. The LRC’s showed them all the different parts of the school. They interviewed the principal Anton van Wyk on “How it is to be Principal of De Duine Secondary School and all the benefits and challenges that goes with it”.

The possibility exist of learners attending Coastal High in Swakopmund in the near future. The visit was a success as some of them even came back later that night to come and enjoy the orientation concert with us and some learners even performed a dance during the concert. According to Rebecca Kalekela they had a splendid time with us and they would also love it if learners from De Duine would join them at their school for a day just like they did. We as De Duine would like to thank you guys for making the effort to come all the way from Swakompund to spend the day with us and it was a privilege to have you here with us. Last year, learners from Duinesig High School in Kuisebmond visted De Duine Secondary School.
