On Monday, 4 March Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) hosted its first round of InDesign training for learners of schools in Windhoek who are part of the school newspaper project.

Eight learners from Delta Secondary School, Windhoek Afrikaanse Privaatskool, Centaurus High School, Ella Du Plessis High School, Jan Jonker Afrikaner High School and Windhoek Technical High School had the opportunity to receive hands-on experience from Alexander Fase, the production director and training officer at NMH, and Monique De Scande, a senior graphic designer at NMH.

The learners received some tips on designing and practically experienced how to design a page of their own. This will help to assist the learners when they visit the NMH offices to design their own respective school newspapers. This training is ongoing and will be held in the Erongo Region as well, and will end at the end of the month.
