Mirror mirror on the wall

The International Training College Lingua hosted its annual Mr and Miss Lingua at the Roman Catholic Hall in Windhoek on Friday (10 August).

The college also handed over prizes to the contestants for their participation. In addition to prizes being awarded to Mr and Miss Lingua, prizes were also awarded to the runner-up of each category.

Seven contestants scooped the titles of first and second princess an prince,Mr and Miss photogenic as well as Mr and Miss personality.

The judging panel consisted of Joseph Besser,Haymich Olivier,Rachel Steinbeck,Faieza Robinson,Petrina Thomas and Noriene Maasdorp-Van Wyk. The contestants also shared the stage with local artist Oteya and many more talented students.

Bernelle Maruschka Manetti and Karl Marthinus Theron took home the coveted title of Miss and Mr Lingua of the year, beating 19 hopefuls.

Rosalia Ipinge and Vincent Muyumba won the titles of first princess and prince while Mpumzi-Wami Mtimde and Estrellita L. Engelbrecht were acknowledged as second prince and princess.

Vincent Muyumba also walked away with title of Mr Public Choice and Mr Photogenic.

Sharon Sigardo did not only walk away with the title of Miss Photogenic but also scooped the title of Miss Pubic choice and Agnes Liswani Miss Personailty.
