Pro-Ed Presteerders Pronk by Prysuitdelings

Pro-Ed is inderdaad ’n skool waar almal die geleentheid gegun word om vir hulle prestasies erkenning te kry. Die prysuitdelings is opgedeel in twee aande. Tydens die eerste geleentheid is akademie en kultuur vereer en by die tweede geleentheid sport. Die dekor was pragtig, die seremoniemeesters se stemme geolie en die dominees se openings gepas.

Akademie:

Nie slegs top presteerders word erken nie. Leerders kry ook sertifikate vir individuele vakke vir punte vanaf 60%.

Die beste presteerder in elke vak ontvang gewoonlik ’n kontantprys en akademiese half en vol erekleure word aan die hardwerkende toppresteerders toegeken.

Melding is ook gemaak dat Pro-Ed se matriekuitslae weereens uitstekend was. Hier verdien Lara Bartholomae spesiale vermelding met haar uitstekende gemiddeld van 88,9%. Sy het nie net eerste in Namibië geëindig nie, maar ook meer as 6% gemiddeld hoër as die tweede geplaasde. Lara het deurlopend hard gewerk en met die hulp en ondersteuning van haar ouers het sy baie ekstra ure agter haar lessenaar deurgebring. Dit is vir die res van ons ’n bewys: waar daar ’n wil is, is daar ’n weg. Anikè Maritz en Marlinda Schutz het ook uitstekend gevaar en onderskeidelik tweede en vierde in Namibië geëindig. Hulle albei studeer tans medies aan UNAM.

Kultuur:

Dit is verblydend om te sien dat die kultuurafdeling by die prysuitdeling ook elke jaar meer gewig dra. Leerders word vir skoolaktiwiteite soos redenaars, drama, skaak en ATKV beloon, maar ook buitemuurse aktiwiteite soos Voortrekkers, dans en modelwerk kry erkenning. Dit is goed om te sien hoeveel kinders die waarde van kulturele aktiwiteite besef. DIt is ook goed dat die skool dit aanmoedig dat leerlinge alle fasette van hulle menswees ontwikkel. Wiaan Louw het die toekenning as die “Kultuurster” van die jaar ontvang vir sy enorme bydrae tot kultuur by Pro-Ed.

Sport:

Dit is baie duidelik dat Pro-Ed se sport van krag tot krag gaan. Skoolspanne presteer al hoe beter en wen selfs ligas. Ons atlete en krieketspelers toer die wêreld vol en presteer dan boonop daar. Selfs van ons onderwysers het op sportgebied en as afrigters uitgeblink en ook die nodige erkenning gekry. Buitesporte kry ook erkenning by die prysuitdeling en daarvan getuig toekennings vir karate, hengel, binnenshuise hokkie, swem en perdry. Voorkeur word egter aan skoolsporte gegee by die kies van die sportman en sportvrou van die jaar. Ons maak dus graag spesiale melding van dié pryswenners;

Junior Sportman van die jaar:Nicholas van der Colf (Rugby en Atletiek)

Junior Sportvrou van die jaar:Jorinda Fourie (Netbal en Atletiek)

Senior Sportman van die jaar: Joshua Theron (Hokkie)

Senior Sportvrou van die jaar: Rochè Venter (Hokkie, Netbal, Atletiek en Krieket)

Ter afsluiting wil ek dankie sê vir die onderwysers en afrigters wat hierdie prestasies help moontlik maak het. Ek wil ook elke leerder aanmoedig om jouself uit te daag om in 2019 nog beter te vaar as verlede jaar en om te alle tye jou beste te lewer, want jou beste is goed genoeg.
