Vox Pop: My Zone went to Sunshine Private School and asked a few learners what they will be doing this festive season.

Aune Shingenge

Grade 7 – 12 years old

For December I am not planning on going anywhere because of Covid-19. Basically, I will be isolated in my house so that I don’t catch the virus. If I do go out, I will practice social distancing and wear my mask.

Ndinelago Amakali

Grade 6 – 11 years old

I will be going to the north for my December holiday to go visit my grandparents as well as my cousins. I am really excited to see them because I miss them so much. The last time I saw them was in January.

Taliindje Kandjumbi

Grade 7 – 12 years old

For this holiday, I will be going to the village with my family. I am excited that school has come to the end as it will give me an opportunity to relax and play endlessly.

Nzila Milomo

Grade 7 – 13 years old

Well, for my holiday, I will be going to Katima Mulilo, which is my hometown. I am very excited! How I will be keeping safe is when I play with my cousins, I will keep a safe distance, wear my mask and wash my hands frequently.

Melissa Tuombale

Grade 6 – 12 years old

I am so excited for the holiday because I will be going to my hometown, Katima Mulilo. I get to see the rest of my family, but, at the same time, I will still keep myself safe.

For the holidays, I will be going to my grandparents, and we live on the farm which means I get to spend time with the animals and do farm work.
