K Hair Studio is currently in partnership with Kuts N Kurls and they operate from at Dorado Valley Shopping Complex. They have partnered in order to grow both businesses with the goal to forge, venture and rebrand in the same vein. With about 20 people working at the business, rebranding is aimed at expanding and thus create more employment opportunities.

The salon offers a variety of services including hair braiding and styling, a barbershop, nail grooming (for men), manicures and hair products for sale.

The company aims to remain relevant to the community by committing to a social responsibility programme. One of its objectives is to contribute to employment creation by providing a platform where unemployed people can practise and perfect their craft in hair styling or nail care and use it as a tool to make an honest living.

The biggest challenges the company has encountered included a lack of financial support for start-up businesses and high rental fees.

In its quest to become the country’s “biggest beauty service provider,” K Hair Studio treasures its customers and ensures that they are always satisfied with the service.

“We ensure that we give them an excellent service and value for their money whenever they call on us,” the company says.

They hope to branch out to other locations in the city and beyond.

When it comes to marketing, K Hair Studio relies on word-of-mouth referrals by happy customers. They also make use of social media and traditional media such as radio and newspaper advertisements. Visuals such as flyers and posters are also a trusted means of advertising for the business. They have a brand ambassador who further markets the company.

To improve business in the short run, K Hair Studio makes sure that its customers are always satisfied with its customer service.

The staff also stay on top of the latest trends in the beauty industry and the management plans to increase the clientele over the years.

The company recently offered free haircuts for top-performing learners, which the parents highly appreciated. “It was heart-warming for us to see people express their delight and gratitude at how much of a help it was for them to have their kids’ hair taken care of for free, considering that it is January – a time when many of them do not have much money to spend.”
