Panova Investment Bird Barrier & Control is a department in a mother company called Panova Investment Close Corporation (CC) and was formed in 2014.

The staff are bound by a working culture of equality and teamwork.

The department was launched as a problem-solver for all the bird infestations, which a lot of people face in their properties and facilities.

The company is currently the one providing such services in Namibia and is certified by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

Panova’s goals are to put its focus on hygiene and problem-solving solutions, as it makes sure that it keep birds away from properties in the most harmless way and keeps the properties hygienically clean at the same time.

The overall mission since the invention of the Bird Flite Spikes is that the company strived to tackle and eliminate bird infestation problems faced in properties and facilities.

This is a battle many face as different types of birds and bat species nest and roost in their facilities and properties over a period of time, which has resulted in many challenging projects and accumulated skills, know-how and experience in:

* Eliminating birds that are nesting and roosting;

* Waste removal and cleaning-up;

* Pressure washing of contaminated areas;

* Gutter and down-spout cleaning; and

* A complete jobsite clean-up.

The company consists of 14 employees - four skilled managers, seven unskilled workers and three disadvantaged individuals, with a gender ratio of three women and 11 man.

The managing director, Moses Nengola, said everyone’s input is a valuable resource.

“Safety and health is a number one priority. Dealing with birds could be a risk if health and safety measures are not taken, because of certain working conditions and heights,” he said.

The Panova Investment Bird Barrier & Control offices are located in Windhoek and Walvis Bay and it has three mobile standby teams. The mobile teams are necessary as the manual operations require flexibility.

The company runs an online marketing strategy on Facebook and Instagram, while building a portfolio of all projects and promotional features as an advertising strategy.

It also focuses on email marketing and gets to know clients via presentation appointments and word-of-mouth marketing, which is the most powerful form of marketing.

What makes the company unique and stand out is that the year Panova was founded in 2014, it operated the same as other ordinary SMEs, until it decided to go back to the drawing board and come up with something different.

Panova looked at buildings and man-made structures in nature and learned that these are commonly faced with bird infestations.

It further searched for a solution to this problem, which led it to the invention of the Polycarbonate and Stainless Steel Bird-Flite Spike, which deters birds from landing on thousands of buildings.

As time went by, Panova extended its solutions with the stealth nets and many other accessories which are all solutions to bird infestation problems all over the country.

The bird barrier system that Panova uses made it the most effective bird-control company in Namibia, as their systems are the best and most reliable in town. The Bird Barrier & Control bird-proofing system is patented under the Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA).
