Forget about your everyday Valentine’s Day chocolates and roses or a magical night with prince charming. Forget about everything you know about a ball because what the Ama 2000 matriculants had to offer was far beyond that! They are talking pop culture, after party, house type of ball with just enough atmosphere of love!

Like all other planners, it started off hectic, with dramatic sweeping and unapologetic opinions with a few stress points, but they managed to put their heads together to pull it off. From the setting of the photo booth, to the romantic setting of tables and candles really set a mood. To really capture the full bloom night of February the 14th, doors opened at 18h00, from welcoming smiles and positive vibes ready for the night ahead, high heels, tight dresses, tuxedos and strong colognes as support came in numbers to make a statement.

Heels off and scandals back on! As many joined the dance the floor to some of the hot mixes from our DJ: Westside High’s finest Eugene Aibeb , an amazing performance from our very own Celine Dion, Erike Tjongarero who took our breath away with the song " My heart will go on" ,as well as other performances who set the dance floor on fire.

The Ball was exciting for many, nerve wrecking for others and some just wanted to dance. Love is not about being in a situation with someone but in a relationship with those who truly make every day worth living for.

"The ball was fun and a night to remember,” says Anrio Visagie, and why wouldn’t it be? Many were convinced that the valentines ball would be a failure since the grade 11s handled it, but with the help of Ms. Priscilla Fisher, Ms. Justina Jonas and Ms. Lillian Zatjirua, success roared even louder at the end of the night. Applause to the grade 11 matrix of 2020 is in order for an outstanding, phenomenal night.
