Belê in die Namibiese meisie

’n Barmhartige Namibiër het besluit om Vrydag 50 pakkies sanitêre doekies aan leerlinge by Hoërskool Hage Geingob en Laerskool Moses Garoeb in Windhoek te skenk.

Me. Johanna Mushelenge, wat die sanitêre doekies geskenk het, is ’n groot kampvegter vir die welstand en regte van die Namibiese kind. Sy het op die skenking besluit omdat sy geweet het êrens is ’n Namibiese meisie wat sukkel om aan al haar basiese behoeftes te voldoen.

“Ek wil ’n verskil maak, al is dit net in die lewe van een of twee meisies. Dit was vir my belangrik om die regering, skool, ouers, onderwysers en gemeenskap halfpad te ontmoet,” het Mushelenge gesê.

Mushelenge moedig jong leerlinge aan om die nodige tyd en energie in hul onderrig in te sit en hard te werk om hulle volle potensiaal te bereik. Sy doen ook ’n beroep om leerlinge om weg te bly van ongewenste plekke en hul nie besig te hou met verkeerde keuses nie.

“Gebruik elke geleentheid wat jy vandag kry om ’n beter toekoms vir jouself te skep,” het sy gesê.

Volgens mnr. Justona Naftali, die lewensvaardigheidsonderwyser by Hage Geingob, het die skenking op presies die regte tyd gekom. “Dit wys net weer daar is nog goeie mense daar buite wat bereid is om die bietjie wat hulle het met ander te deel, en ons as skool sal ewig dankbaar wees.”

Mnr. Jose Saasa, die skoolhoof van Hage Geingob, het Mushelenge bedank vir die skenking en gesê dit sal soveel van die leerlinge kan help.

“Leerlinge kan by die kantoor een van die doekies op enige gegewe tydstip kom haal, wat hulle sal hou tot die einde van die dag. Ons is ongelooflik dankbaar en hoop hierdie is slegs die begin,” het hy bygevoeg.
