Dolphins vereer top presteerders

Akademiese prestasie is sinoniem met The Dolphin Schools (TDS).
Die jaarlikse hoogtepunt is dus ons akademiese prysuitdeling wat leerders beloon op grond van hul vorige jaar se uitslae.
In ‘n onderhoud gevoer met me. Margaret Coetzee het sy die volgende met my gedeel.
Die uiters bekwame me. Ilse Palomba was die seremoniemeester en me. Pam Miller (Toastmasters – Swakopmund) was die gasspreker en het die leerlinge pragtig gemotiveer om ‘n sukses van hul skoolloopbaan te maak.
Die beste presteerders in die laerskool ( wat elk ‘n trofee ontvang het ) was die volgende leerders: Christopher Ferreira – gr.4 sowel as Ethan Egumbo – gr.4, Ane Oberholzer – gr.5, Unique Klassen – gr.6, Jade Hunter – gr.7.
Die toppresteerders in die hoërskool was: Anthony van der Meer – gr.8, Roux-che Shidute – gr.9, Amutenya Ekando en Lauren Smith in gr. 10 asook Teresia Shawelaka in gr. 11.
Die mees gesogte beloning, akademiese erekleure, gaan aan: Tiyana Meyer – gr.10, Marijke Germishuys, Robin Myburgh en Meagan van Wijk – gr.11. Meagan van Wijk (tans ‘n graad 12-leerder) se jaargemiddeld vir gr. 11 was 89%. Knap gedaan, Meagan.
Sonder ons borge sou dié aand nie soveel heerlike verrassing opgelewer het nie. Veral dié kontantpryse vir die leerders met die hoogste punte in sekere vakke. Dit het vir breë glimlagte op van ons leerders se gesigte gesorg. Harde werk word wel beloon!
Ons bedank die volgende borge: me. Dina van der Meer, mnr. Leonard Martin, mnr. Coetzee van Zyl, Merlus Sea Food Processors PTY LTD, FCS, J&P Hydraulics CC en PWC.
Die matriekgroep van 2016 het ons weereens baie trots gemaak met ‘n 100% slaagsyfer. 78% van die graad twaalfs het universiteitstoelating gekry en 28% het kollege-toelating ontvang
Ons hoofdogter, Charlene Esterhuizen, het drie onderskeidings behaal. Sy vertrek volgende maand na Den Haag in Holland vir verdere studies in Hotelbestuur. Ons beste wense vergesel haar.
