Blessed is the one who gives, for the rewards of heaven belong to him.

On 18 September 2019 the grade 12 students decided to give back to their community. They visited an orphanage situated in Katutura called Orlindi place of safety. This place is home to mainly abandoned babies and toddlers. Giving to the less fortunate is a tradition perfectly observed by the students of Amazing Kids Private School & Academy (AKPS&A).

They spent the day cooking for the children, playing with them, cleaning the house and overall sharing compassion. Their donations included toiletries, clothes, snacks and love. The children were beyond excited to know that there are people out there who still care for them. Charity begins at home is a famous cliché but it is the truth as charity indeed begin at home. Mrs. Claudia Namises thinks that if more people like the Amazing Kids community reach out to those in need Namibia and the world at large will be a better place.

As people that are more fortunate the AKPS&A community strives to make the world a better place. It is a core mission to elevate those around them and choose to give the honour to the outgoing members of the family to uphold this sacred tradition. The grade twelve’s have for many years held the community service and this year serves as another mark made in the lives of less fortunate youngsters.

Many people struggle in life and are unable to take care of themselves so that is where AKPS&A steps in. Hanssen-Benson Mturi said it is an honour to give back to the society as one never knows when you shall be in need. As the AKPS&A family they believe in the spirit of Ubuntu and the spirit of togetherness and therefore strive to keep the spirit alive in all aspects of their lives.
