In God geanker!

Grootfontein Agri College is ’n gelowige skool wat glo in ons hemelse Vader se leiding en beskerming.

Sy hand van beskerming was gedurende die Covid-19-pandemie, wat almal onseker oor die toekoms gemaak het, heeltyd oor ons. Elkeen het geweet waar ons krag en hulp vandaan kom. God was en is nog steeds ons anker deur die grendeltydperk. Die leerlinge het die daaglikse opening met skriflesing en gebed beslis gemis.

Vier jaar gelede het God geweet wat vir Agri College in 2020 voorlê. Ons het vriende geraak met die Nederlandse groep, Aloysius Stichting, wat ons graad 4- tot 12-leerlinge elk van ’n Apple-tablet voorsien het.

Net voor die “sewe maer jare” van die grendeltydperk het hulle ons pragtige land en skool besoek en ’n week lange opleidingswerkwinkel aangebied. Dit was vir die onderwysers ’n splinternuwe ervaring en leerskool gewees. Dit het alles daartoe bygedra dat ons kurkdroog uit die Rooi See gestap het!

Agri College het dus so ook sy eerste aanlyn toetsreeks met groot sukses gehad. Dit was weer ’n nuwe ervaring vir ons leerlinge. Elke leerling het ’n rapport ontvang, nie net met punte nie, maar ook oor die kwaliteit van hul werk tydens tuisonderrig.

Ná die toetsreeks het ons ’n welverdiende vakansie van drie weke geniet. Ons was maar onseker oor wat vir ons gewag het ná die vakansie en het op ons knieë gebly met ons oë op God gefokus.

As skool kon ons duidelik sien die Here was teenwoordig terwyl ons soos die Israeliete deur die woestyn getrek het.

Die eindeksamen lê voor, maar ons is tot alles in staat deur Hom wat ons krag gee.

Ons kyk uit ’n gelowige oogpunt na alles en sien daarom die Lig!
