In line with Namdeb’s continuous pursuit of social responsibility objectives, Oranjemund Private School (OPS) donated approximately 3 000 sets of library books to Ambrosius Amuntenya Primary School (AAPS) on Thursday, 5 August, at a handover ceremony held on the AACS school premises.

The donation was received by principal Mara Beukes, accompanied by the school librarian and prefects.

Beukes expressed profound gratitude towards OPS for reaching out to a neighbouring school and donating the books.

“It’s always very heartwarming when schools reach out to each other and support each other, because ultimately, we are serving the same community. I would like to thank OPS and Namdeb for your continuous support.”

Also in attendance was OPS principal, Connie Willemse, who said the donation was an official platform to launch the school’s Care Campaign, which will embark on several projects to assist within the community.

“It is indeed a pleasure for OPS to be able to bless AAPS with these books and I am sure that they will be put to good use. Let this be the beginning of better and stronger relationships!’’
