Sport day

On the 30 March, we here at Duneside Private high school held our annual sports day whereby, different schools were invited to participate in different sports activities. All schools played exceptionally well. There was soccer, netball, hockey and the little ones played Tjokker rugby, which they really enjoyed. Many parents came to support their little ones and had just as much fun in the sun. I was personally shocked on how the chess players were concentrated and determined on winning the game. The winners for chess were Xavier from Duneside in grade 4 for the U/11, Tobias from Duneside in grade 7 for the U/13, Cameron in grade nine for the U/15 and Archie, also from Duneside in grade 12 for the U/19. Soccer and Netball was where one would find the toughest competition. Not only was the weather really hot but the teams were all really great. Narraville Primary School dominated in soccer. They took home both championships for U/12 and U/13. In netball it was Duneside Side High school who one with an overall average of 52% of games won. Hockey left everyone laughing as many of the teams struggle with hitting the ball. They would miss the rolling ball as it speeded past them and fall to the ground. Luckily no one got seriously injured. The day was a big success not only to Duneside, but to the many teams that were invited to the event as they got a chance to compete against each other, to show off their different skills and basically just enjoy the day with their friends from the community, food and great music.
