Born and raised in Katutura, 27-year-old Sean Lukas studied for a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree at the University of Cape Town and graduated in 2019.

He began his career as a trainee auditor with Deloitte Namibia in 2020 and moved to London at the start of 2023 after completing his articles and becoming a qualified Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) affiliate.

He currently works as an assistant manager in the banking and capital market audit department of Deloitte in London.

"My advice to an aspiring auditor would be to ensure that you study hard and effectively when the time comes. A lot of times we try to study just to pass the exam, but as auditors, we are specialists in terms of accounting standards and their application, so everything from university makes life as an external auditor much easier. Another thing would be to work on having confidence on the job and being able to resolve conflict. Always walk into the boardroom as if you were meant to be there."
