Junior Chef:

Under the direct supervision of the senior chef or head chef, the junior chef is responsible to assist in the preparation of daily menus by carrying out all tasks that may be assigned to him/her. A grade 8 and training in basic food preparation are required. A junior chef is part of the staff of commercially operated medium to large-sized accommodation, dining and drinking establishments e.g. hotels, lodges, restaurants, clubs, pubs and catering institutions such as hospitals, schools, hostels, etc.
