Experiencing no dull moments and knowing that he will engage with diverse individuals contributes to Hesron Lopes' enjoyment of his role at FlyNamibia.

He holds two diplomas completed at the Airports Council International, in addition to a diploma in combatting wildlife trafficking and human trafficking and a certificate in transporting dangerous goods – CAT 10 and 11 – for flight crew.

According to Lopes, qualities of a great station controller include "one who ensures that his station’s operations reflect their standard; dedication to detail; and someone who can communicate effectively and timeously with authorities. They must also be able to get the best out of a small team with consistency," he added.
