This year’s Namibia Tourism Expo concluded on Friday after a spectacular three days, starting on Wednesday, 26 April.

The expo was hosted at the Windhoek Country Club, which collaborated with the Windhoek City Market to attract even more enthusiastic foot traffic to the event.

Sixty exhibitors participated in the annual expo, of which 24 were part of the City Market family.

According to Maggie Mathe, salesperson at Legacy Hotels Namibia, the overall experience was a success, and the City Market’s clientele was one of the highlights.

“It had a ripple effect on the Tourism Expo as it stole the show with the overall vibe outside,” she said.

“I think there will be plenty of tourism expos at the Legacy Windhoek Country Club hotel; we will definitely be collaborating with the organisers in the future,” Mathe said.

Top stand takes top honours

Komnik & Franck was voted the stand of the year by appreciative expo visitors.

Komnik & Franck CEO Jürgen Cronje told Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) that the expo offered the perfect opportunity to showcase their products and services.

“Even though we sold a lot of products, our main aim was to host the visitors and have them taste our wines and get to know our products in general. In that regard, I am more than satisfied,” he said.

Quality counts

NMH public relations executive Maggy Mbako said each year the expo has experienced continued growth in the number of exhibitors and visitors.

“The Namibia Tourism Expo has seen sustained growth in the number of exhibitors and visitors since its inception, and as organisers, we strive through consultation with all stakeholders to stage events and activities that make the Tourism Expo better and bigger each year,” she said.

“As organisers, the success of the expo is measured by the quality of the exhibitors as well as the engagement platforms created for both visitors as well as the exhibitors,” Mbako added.
