Bank Windhoek lands banking honours
Bank Windhoek has been named Banking Brand of the Year – Namibia 2026 by the Global Banking & Finance Awards®, an international awards programme that recognises excellence, innovation and leadership across the global financial industry.
The recognition highlights the bank’s strong brand presence and its continued commitment to excellence within Namibia’s financial sector.
Based in the United Kingdom, Global Banking and Finance Review is a leading financial intelligence and recognition platform, renowned for delivering authoritative analysis, benchmarking institutional performance, and providing digital visibility across banking, capital markets, investment, financial technology and infrastructure.
Since 2011, the Awards have recognised leaders across the global banking, finance and technology sectors.
According to the Awards organisers, winners are selected through a research-led, merit-based process that evaluates performance, innovation, impact and leadership.
Bank Windhoek’s Executive Officer of Marketing and Corporate Communication Services, Jacquiline Pack, said the prestigious accolade underscores the bank’s continued commitment to building a strong, customer-centric brand rooted in Namibia and dedicated to delivering meaningful value to its clients and communities.
“As a homegrown bank, this recognition reflects the trust Namibians place in Bank Windhoek and our focus on building a banking brand that consistently delivers value through service excellence and innovation,” Pack said. “We remain committed to supporting our customers, communities and the broader economy.”
The award builds on Bank Windhoek’s recent international recognition, including the bank’s official receipt in London of the Best Foreign Exchange Bank in Namibia and Small and Medium Enterprises Bank awards for 2025.
Pack said that recognition from the platform affirms Bank Windhoek’s ability to maintain a consistent presence in the market and to foster meaningful engagement with stakeholders, even amid intense competition.
