From bedroom startup to custom car accessory powerhouse
Meet the man behind Auto Nations Namibia
STAFF REPROTERWhat began as a small car accessories hustle run from Seblon Nande’s bedroom in Wanaheda has grown into one of the country’s up-and-coming auto shops, now offering everything from custom car parts to imported vehicles. Speaking on My.na Cars, Nande shared the journey behind his business and the unique approach that sets Auto Nations Namibia apart. The full interview airs tonight at 21:00 on DStv channel 285 and GOtv channel 25.
“We officially started in 2021, and a year ago we opened our shop,” Nande said. “From the beginning, we’ve focused on quality and customer service, two things we saw lacking in the industry.”
Auto Nations Namibia specialises in stylish and functional vehicle accessories, such as boot spoilers, front lips, window louvers, and more, with window louvers for VW Polo and Golf models currently topping their sales charts.
“For someone driving an Audi,” Nande recommended, “I’d suggest a sleek 17” rim and a boot spoiler – something stylish but not over-the-top.”
It’s not just about looks. The shop offers free installation on all accessories sold, with options available in various materials such as gloss black and carbon fibre.
Beyond accessories, Auto Nations has also branched out into vehicle importation, sourcing cars from various countries on request. To build trust with customers, the business has implemented a three-day return and refund policy.
“If you buy something and don’t like it, you can return it within three days for a full refund,” Nande explained.
One standout accessory is the shadow light, a feature that illuminates custom logos when doors are opened. Though the product has been in stock for some time, it has only recently gained traction thanks to improved social media marketing.
“We’ve started doing reels and paid adverts, which we never did before,” said Nande. “Now the product is flying off the shelves.”
Social media has played a pivotal role in Auto Nations’ growth.
“Most of our clients come through Instagram and Facebook. We hardly get walk-ins without social media exposure,” he said.
