Heat, hits and happy faces
On Saturday, Liefde by die Nam brought Afrikaans music, good vibes and literal heat to WHS Vegkop Stadium in Windhoek. The sun was blazing and the temperatures were intense, but that didn’t stop revellers from enjoying every moment.
In the afternoon, people were already on the dance floor, standing under the scorching sun, eager to catch their favourite artists performing live.
As the sun set and a cooler breeze arrived, the crowd let loose even more, filling the dance floor and dancing with full energy.
What sets Liefde by die Nam apart is its family-friendly vibe. Alongside groups of friends, families with children soaked up the music together. Between blankets, snacks and sunshades, the atmosphere was relaxed and communal, making it a festival that brought generations together.
Evening highlights set the stage on fire with Die Heuwels Fantasties, Francois van Coke Early B, and Jack Parow, whose high-energy performances had the crowd jumping, singing along and fully immersed in the music. All photos Svenja Hecht
