MultiChoice Namibia launches S2 of Shaka iLembe

In a celebration of culture, history and storytelling, MultiChoice Namibia hosted an exclusive premiere of the highly anticipated second season of Shaka iLembe at Xwama Traditional Restaurant on Thursday evening, 12 June.

The event brought together media personalities, local celebrities and digital influencers for an immersive first look at the epic historical drama’s next chapter.

Addressing the gathering, Elzita Beukes, corporate affairs manager at MultiChoice Namibia, reflected on the show’s Pan-African impact.

“From Namibia to Nigeria, Shaka iLembe transcended language and geography, connecting generations through the story of a boy who would become a king,” she said. “Season two goes beyond – it explores the fierce leader Shaka became and the powerful women who shaped his world.”

Guests were treated to rich visuals, resonant storytelling and a glimpse into the evolving legacy of Shaka Zulu – no longer just the young warrior but a revolutionary icon seeking to free his people.

MultiChoice encouraged viewers to join the conversation online using the hashtag #ShakaiLembeS2 – but without spoilers.

The season officially premiered on Sunday, 15 June, at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic, with episodes also streaming on DStv and GOtv platforms weekly. The dress code was modern tribe: empire edition.
