Mulunga leads REIAoN
The Renewable Energy Industry Association of Namibia (REIAoN) has announced the appointment of Paulus Mulunga as its new chairperson.
Mulunga is a long-serving member of the REIAoN leadership, having served as the association’s secretary before being appointed chairperson.
“A central theme of my tenure will be moving from advocacy towards coordinated action. REIAoN has a diverse membership with significant technical, commercial and institutional expertise, and we need to harness that knowledge more effectively,” Mulunga said.
The Renewable Energy Industry Association of Namibia was founded in May 2008 by 30 individuals representing commercial entities in the clean energy sector. It operates as a non-governmental organisation and membership-based industry body dedicated to promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency throughout Namibia.
REIAoN’s membership includes independent power producers (IPPs), renewable energy companies, equipment distributors, engineering and design consultants, academic and research institutions, students and financial entities involved in clean energy development.
“A central theme of my tenure will be moving from advocacy towards coordinated action. REIAoN has a diverse membership with significant technical, commercial and institutional expertise, and we need to harness that knowledge more effectively,” Mulunga said.
