Nictus, Auas Motors support sustainable development at Epukiro
Nictus and Auas Motors, in collaboration with the Isuzu Foundation, are providing financial support for the Epukiro Eco-Village, a community development initiative led by the N/a’an ku sê Foundation in the Omaheke Region.
The project aims to improve living conditions, promote community wellbeing and expand economic opportunities, building on N/a’an ku sê’s existing healthcare, education and outreach programmes in Epukiro.
According to a statement from Nictus, the partnership combines private-sector support with community development expertise to address immediate needs while creating longer-term opportunities for residents.
Gerhard Vermeulen, managing director of Auas Motors, said the partnership offered businesses an opportunity to contribute to communities beyond their core operations.
“Through Auas Motors and the Isuzu Foundation, we are pleased to support a project focused on improving living conditions and creating opportunities for the community,” Vermeulen said.
The contribution forms part of Nictus Holdings Group’s strategy to create long-term value for stakeholders, including the communities in which it operates, through responsible corporate citizenship and investment in community development.
Francois Wahl, managing director of Nictus, said the initiative highlighted the importance of supporting projects with a lasting impact. “Our contribution is about supporting an initiative that looks beyond immediate needs to create lasting value. The Epukiro Eco-Village brings together practical support and a longer-term vision for community development, which is the kind of approach we want to help advance,” Wahl said.
