Paratus establishes Ugandan presence
The Paratus Group has expanded into Uganda, marking its 12th African jurisdiction outside Namibia, the company announced in a statement.Paratus Uganda was established to consolidate the services provided by Roke Telkom in Uganda and by Paratus Group across Africa and internationally, creating a comprehensive full-service connectivity and cross-border solution for enterprise customers in Uganda and the wider region. Paratus Uganda will also target new industry sectors, including healthcare, mining, tourism and NGOs.
Roke Telkom is one of Uganda’s leading internet service and managed solutions providers, with over 19 years of experience serving enterprise and retail customers via wireless and fibre infrastructure.
Roke’s representative for Paratus Uganda, Edwin Kyambadde, said the partnership between the two companies would strengthen Paratus’s position as a regional leader in enterprise connectivity.
“Our local strength and coverage, combined with Paratus Group’s African and global reach, make Paratus Uganda a strong regional partner for both domestic and international enterprise customers. Our highly skilled technical teams across the country bring a wealth of local and regional expertise, providing the reliability and assurance that industries need for fast, robust, and high-quality connectivity. Paratus Group CEO Schalk Erasmus said the expansion reinforces the company’s mission to bridge Africa’s infrastructure gaps. “We are delighted to be opening in Uganda for many reasons.
