Preserving the past: Veteran conservationist launches highly anticipated book
Veteran conservationist and author Peter Bridgeford officially launched his highly anticipated new book, 'Conservation & Tourism in Namibia, the Early Days', at the Namibia Scientific Society in Windhoek on Thursday.
The launch brought together guests and supporters to explore the new publication, which serves as a vital record of the nation's early ecological and tourism heritage.
Speaking on his research process, Bridgeford said he sourced much of his information by listening to the stories of the old pioneers. He noted that whenever they would take out their old photo albums, it felt "like finding treasure".
The book's production and official launch were made possible through the key support of FirstRand Namibia, the Namibian Chamber of Environment, and the Namibia Scientific Society.
