A Deep Dive into Fashion and Fun!
On 20 February, PK took a deep dive into tradition, hosting its PK Plons poolside runway showcase, where the runway is liquid and confidence is in motion.
The event is reserved for Grade 8 learners, known as “sotte”, giving them a platform to showcase their style with waves of flair.
Participants walked the runway along the pool, presenting outfits under themes including sporty, swimwear and casual.
The whole event was a dance between water and fashion.
While models were getting ready, students were allowed to take a splash in the pool and swim in the “vibe”.
There was also an outstanding hip-hop performance by local artist J-Breezy.
He took entertaining to a whole new level and made his body flow to the rhythm of the music, perfectly matching the theme of the day.
Our own popular boy dance group, 'The Bootygang', also performed full of energy and style. Truly delightful.
As the sun set, the Mr and Ms Plons competition took to the stage, drawing attention with each step.
The water glowed, reflecting the models’ elegance as they stood side by side before the judges.
This year, the title of Mr Plons went to Rayen Kooper, while Ludine April took the crown for Ms Plons – two deserving models whose style lingered long after the evening of their crowning.
PK Plons reminds young learners that they are caterpillars on the way to bloom, giving them a chance to step onto the stage and out of their cocoons!
