A year of leadership, service and making a difference

Halleluyah Hamunyela

Being chosen as Head Boy of Duneside High School for 2026 has been one of the greatest honours of my school journey. It is a responsibility I have accepted with gratitude, pride and a strong commitment to serving my school and fellow learners.

This year has been a journey of growth, learning and memorable experiences. Serving as Head Boy has allowed me to work with learners, teachers and staff while contributing to making Duneside High School a better place for everyone. Along the way, I have made memories that I will carry with me long after my school years are over.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our teachers and staff for their guidance, encouragement and support throughout the year. I am equally grateful to my fellow learners for placing their trust in me and allowing me to represent them.

To my fellow learners, I encourage you to make the most of every opportunity that comes your way. Believe in yourselves, stay determined and never be afraid to step forward when you have something to contribute. Leadership is not simply about having a title; it is about serving others, setting a positive example and making a difference.

As we continue through 2026, let us stand together with pride, unity and purpose. Let us support one another, embrace our differences and work towards a future that reflects the values of Duneside High School.

This is our year, and together, we can make it one to remember.
