I think the N$28 billion allocated for education is more than enough because we now have subsidised education. It can be used to obtain more equipment for schools, build more libraries, and provide transportation for learners who do not have transport or cannot afford it. It could also be used to accommodate slow learners by offering extra classes.

Regarding the N$28 billion allocated to education, I do not think it is enough given the current free education system. There are many funds that need to be distributed across different institutions, so I think the N$28 billion is quite limited. Thank you, that is all I have to say.

On the news of the N$28 billion that has been allocated to education, I think the government should focus on supporting our less advantaged communities - those who are unable to afford education or make a living due to lack of access to education, especially since many jobs require a degree. Therefore, it would be best if the government focuses on helping and supporting disadvantaged communities to access education.

Angel Rohm, 18

With the N$28 billion allocated by the government to schools, I expect to see a huge change because that is a massive amount of money. Starting in rural areas, there are children who are not well supported and who struggle to go to school. I expect to see new transport services, more food in boarding schools, as some of them do not have enough resources for adequate meals, and improved infrastructure for all learners who do not have proper facilities.

I feel like the N$28 billion allocated to education should rather be directed towards youth businesses. If the N$28 billion is allocated to youth businesses, young people are more likely to employ other young people, thereby helping to reduce unemployment.

With the money that has been allocated, I believe that, especially in my field of hospitality management, we should see more excursions. Currently, we are not able to fund transport or enjoy sufficient opportunities to explore Namibia or even the world. With these funds, I expect more structured support from schools and fewer fundraising pressures. For culinary arts students in particular, food and kitchen facilities are limited. Not many people in the country have access to such facilities, and they should be expanded.
