Fun, festivals but staying focused

As exams approach, campuses are becoming more than just places to study. With festivals and entertainment events happening at the same time, many students may find it harder to concentrate.

Festivals offer students a chance to relax, socialise and enjoy themselves after a demanding academic year. There is nothing wrong with taking a break, but with exams around the corner, the excitement can easily become a distraction.

The question is not whether students should attend festivals, but whether they can balance having fun with staying focused on their studies.

It comes down to responsibility and knowing when to put the books first. A few hours of entertainment should not come at the expense of months of hard work.

At the end of the day, the festival will be over, but the exam results will remain. Students should enjoy themselves responsibly while keeping sight of what they are working towards.
