The Maurits Devenish Private School community is proud to welcome its newly appointed principal, Miss Veronique Minnie, who assumed her leadership role in January 2026. Her presence and leadership have already begun to make a positive difference in the lives of students and parents.

Miss Minnie has been a dedicated educator, serving as a Grade 1 teacher and as head of department for the junior primary phase. Her passion for nurturing young learners and her commitment to creating a supportive environment inspired her to take on leadership roles. She believes in making a meaningful difference in students’ lives by fostering a caring and respectful atmosphere.

Her experience as a caring and approachable leader has prepared her well for her current position. Her warm and sincere demeanour makes her highly approachable, helping her to connect with students and staff alike. Her ability to balance warmth with authority has earned her respect across the school community.

Miss Minnie envisions a school where everyone feels valued and heard. She aims to continue nurturing both the academic and personal development of students, ensuring the school remains a place of growth, kindness and harmony. Her commitment to listening to students’ views helps shape a positive future for Maurits Devenish.
