Namibia’s Healing Vocals Choir, in collaboration with Botswana’s Creative Arts Ensemble Choir, successfully hosted a powerful choral and cultural exchange concert on Saturday at Ashipena Secondary School Hall.

Themed 'The Goodness of God', the event delivered an evening defined by unity, worship and vibrant cultural celebration.

The concert drew a diverse and enthusiastic audience, including community leaders, youth, adults and music lovers from different countries. The atmosphere reflected the unifying power of music and faith, bringing together people from all walks of life in a shared spiritual and cultural experience.

The programme featured soul-stirring performances from both the Healing Vocals Choir and the Creative Arts Ensemble Choir. Each group presented a rich repertoire of choral music that resonated deeply with attendees. A special appearance by Namibian gospel artist Alex Shiwayu further elevated the evening, adding a dynamic, local touch.

In celebration of cultural exchange, the concert also showcased traditional performances. The Healing Vocals Choir performed an Oshiwambo cultural piece, while a lively Damara/Nama dance performance added depth and authenticity, highlighting Namibia’s cultural heritage.

We did not experience any difficulties; everyone, even in the streets and malls, welcomed us warmly.” Speaking about the concert, Olebogeng remarked: “There is so much artistry in our sister choir, Healing Vocals. It was truly an amazing night.”

Laone Koonne, another chorister, described the event as deeply meaningful: “Attending the cultural exchange concert was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. It was more than just a performance, it reminded us how music can unite us beyond borders, languages, and backgrounds.”
