Wennie du Plessis Secondary School was filled with excitement as learners celebrated Valentine’s Day with a focus on love, friendship and togetherness.

Dressed in colourful outfits, they spent the day with friends, took pictures and enjoyed a break from their usual school routine.

The celebration began with learners showing off their Valentine’s-themed outfits and taking photographs with their classmates. Laughter and conversation filled the school grounds as they embraced the festive atmosphere.

The day took an unexpected turn when rain began to fall. Although the sudden downpour caught many learners by surprise, it did little to dampen their spirits. Some ran outside to enjoy the rain, while others gathered under sheltered areas to watch.

The school grounds soon became lively as learners reacted to the change in weather. What could have been a disappointing interruption instead became an unexpected highlight for many.
