What has Cabinet done for you as a student?
Daniel Vatileni (23)
Considering that I am both an athlete and a student, Cabinet created awareness around mental health, physical well-being, and social development. It encouraged participation in sport-related events, in which I personally took part. These activities helped me understand the importance of balancing academics and sports while also promoting teamwork, discipline and leadership among students.

I appreciate the new higher education subsidy initiative, as it allows students to choose the courses they want to pursue. Previously, many students were forced to pursue courses they could afford rather than those they truly desired. With this new initiative, students now have the opportunity to choose a career they love. I am looking forward to the new opportunities.

Cabinet has made significant progress so far, such as improving the education system through subsidies, which stands out as one of the most important initiatives. I look forward to seeing what further measures they will implement to benefit the country.

Cabinet has had a positive impact on me because it includes strong representation of women. It has given me the confidence to believe that I, too, can step into spaces I once thought were out of reach. This promotes women’s empowerment, showing that leadership is not exclusive and that women can also be good leaders. I believe every girl and young woman can lead.
Hermano van Rooi (18)
As a student, Cabinet has supported me through educational facilities and sport-related youth programmes. Cabinet has improved sports facilities through increased funding, creating a more supportive and motivating environment for student athletes.

As a student, I appreciate how they subsidise tertiary education. They place more emphasis on youth and education. Free education reduces the financial burden on parents for registration fees, allowing them to focus on other necessities, such as paying for accommodation for students who do not live in Windhoek.
