Zone: Suiderlig LRC members attend leadership camp
The LRC members of Suiderlig Secondary School, accompanied by their guardians, Mr Stein and Mrs Isaacks, attended a leadership camp held from 26 to 28 February 2026 at Hillside Farm Yard.
Each member contributed a fee of N$600 for the three-day experience, which was designed to develop leadership skills and promote personal growth.
The camp encouraged learners to reflect on their abilities, build confidence and recognise their potential as future leaders within the school community.
Throughout the camp, learners took part in a range of activities, including morning walks, mountain climbing, pool relays, tower building and a bonding session around the fire.
A highlight was leadership training facilitated by Mr Machava, during which learners explored the qualities of effective leadership, core values and ways to foster a more united and supportive school environment.
The camp also gave learners the opportunity to participate in leadership processes, including the election of the head boy, head girl and their deputies, making it both a memorable and impactful experience.
