German Hangula: Building Growth Through Seicho Investments

Francouis Pretorius
In February 2025, German Hangula officially registered Seicho Investments, marking a new chapter in his entrepreneurial journey. Though the idea for Seicho was born back in 2022, the last few months have been about formalising the business and shaping it into a vehicle for growth for both himself and the clients he serves.

Hangula’s path into business began with a simple act of service: creating free content and graphics for small businesses and university clubs. As those organisations began to flourish, he realised the potential impact of his skills. Encouragement from business owners soon pushed him to take the leap toward starting his own agency.

The name Seicho carries both cultural and personal meaning. Inspired by Japanese visual culture, which Hangula admires for its bold and clean advertising style, Seicho means “growth.” It also stands as an acronym for Style, Engagement, Identity, Creativity, Harmony, and Optimization, which are the core values he embeds in his work.

Like many new entrepreneurs, Hangula faced challenges in his first months. With limited resources, unreliable equipment, and multiple client demands, he often had to stretch himself thin. “There were times I lost clients because I couldn’t deliver as fast as they expected,” he reflects. But those struggles taught him prioritisation, discipline, and the importance of building a reliable team.

Today, Seicho Investments is branching into industries such as hospitality, construction, farming, restaurants, clubs, and education. Hangula’s vision goes beyond profit. He wants to contribute to Namibia’s economy by creating sustainable employment, fostering entrepreneurship, and supporting local businesses to thrive.

He credits much of his business mindset to his grandmother, whose small-scale hustle selling vetkoeks and vegetables sustained the family and paid for his education. “She showed me that business is about resilience and resourcefulness,” he said.

For now, Hangula defines success as building a company that grows sustainably while creating value for others. His advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple: “Start with what you have and build from there. Growth comes step by step.”

Looking ahead, Hangula envisions Seicho Investments becoming a trusted partner for businesses across Namibia and beyond. His ambition is for Seicho to stand not just as a creative solutions provider but as a driver of innovation, collaboration, and long-term economic growth.
