Sibanda to lead marketing and communications at Letshego
Letshego Holdings Namibia has appointed Akalemwa Sibanda as the new head of marketing, communications, and customer experience, effective 1 July.Sibanda brings over 10 years of experience in advertising, branding and strategic marketing to the role. Her appointment is expected to bolster the company’s efforts to enhance customer experience and strengthen its brand positioning in the Namibian market.
“I see my role at Letshego not just as a professional opportunity, but as a calling to help create more inclusive and empowering customer experiences for all Namibians,” Sibanda said in a statement. “I am thrilled for an opportunity to be part of a brand that’s not just growing but evolving.”
Sibanda’s academic credentials include an honours degree in brand leadership and strategy from the Vega School of Brand Communication in Cape Town, a bachelor of arts in corporate communications from Helderberg College, and a certificate in digital marketing from the University of Cape Town.
Her professional journey began at Adforce Namibia, where she gained experience in strategic planning and client engagement. She later joined Bank Windhoek, managing digital and brand marketing efforts. For the past seven years, she served at Old Mutual Namibia as a marketing consultant for the retail mass market and personal loans divisions, where she led campaigns that boosted customer engagement and business growth.
