The Copa Coca-Cola under-15 tournament will immensely supplement efforts to unearth football talent in the country. The schools' tournament will be an annual, grassroots football competition which aims to identify, nurture and reward the best young footballing talent. It will be contested by an estimated 525 secondary schools, and close to 6 000 players in all 14 regions.

Secondary schools will have their tournaments in each region to determine their representatives at the national finals which will take place in Windhoek on 26 and 27 July. That means the best secondary school in a particular region will represent their respective region at the national finals.

Over the years Augustineum has won many soccer tournaments and the school is now one of the schools taking part in the Copa Coca-Cola soccer tourney. In the first Augustineum had to play against Jacob Marenga Secondary School however Jacob Marenga did not show up so the match was won by disqualification adding to Augustineum gaining three points.

In the second match Augustineum played against Ella du Plessis High School with a score of 2-0 in favour of Augustineum. The team was excited to have won the two matches leading them to qualify for the quarter finals.

In the quarter finals Augustineum faced Goreangob Junior Secondary School at the Khomasdal stadium. Augustineum dominated in the first half and in the second half back down leading to the first goal by Goreangob. The game ended with a score of 1-0 in the favour of Goreangob School. This was then that the team was knocked out of the Copa Coca-Cola under-15 soccer tournament.

Although they lost the team said they felt like winners as they have faced all challenges thrown to them during the tourney and reaching to the quarter finals made them more proud.
