De Duine goes green

As part of the Duiregio project, one of the main aims is to create awareness of sustainability and also act as a connection between De Duine and Euregio Gesamtschule in Rheine, Germany. While in Germany, the De Duine also established a garden. This project started in 2010, when the learners from Euregio first visited De Duine. The garden is run by Mr. Robert Appolis under the watchful eye of Mrs. Van Wyk. The main point is to connect the two schools to raise awareness that we need to protect and keep our environment clean, reducing our carbon footprint to ensure a better future for the next generation.
