Werenzo Horn started from humble beginnings, born and raised in Windhoek. His career path started as a sales representative, and then a supervisor at Home Electronics, which later turned into a position as an assistant warehouse manager at Macnam. He then shifted gears to MultiChoice Namibia, fulfilling his first role as a customer service representative as he felt like it was time for a change. Horn was later promoted to field service Officer and is currently filling a supervisory role within the Field Services department to better upskill himself and lead his team into victory.

His job includes accrediting and managing all MultiChoice installers. “I ensure that our customers experience the best quality installations and viewing environment when they take on the journey with DStv or GOtv,” Horn says.

When asked about his biggest challenges and accomplishments in his career so far, he would have to say scrutinising and working with irate installers that are not accredited. “But the challenge was well accepted, and I am happy to say that we've reached our desired targets,” he says.

Horn's biggest accomplishment is being part of the first Field Service team in Africa to successfully manage their EcoSystem operating system, as well as reaching their monthly targets.

His typical day in the office includes liaising with accredited installers, doing quality assessments and providing training and guidance to the accredited installers whenever they need it. Horn enjoys watching movies and TV shows, and is inspired by individuals who don't have a lot in terms of education but will stop at nothing to be successful in life.

The advice he would give to young people is to never give up on their dreams. “Trust in God and believe in yourself,” he adds. Horn plans on amplifying his career within MultiChoice and in his own capacity as well.

He is about to embark on one of the biggest phases in life by becoming a father. “I am very excited about it and look forward to it wholeheartedly,” he says.

If Horn had an opportunity to change something in the world, it would be equality. “It would be that and the best medical services should be made available to everyone,” he says.
