Confidence is a reflection of your mental, physical and psychological aptitude and belief in your own skills and experience. It helps you take on tasks and assignments with self-assurance and faith that you will ultimately succeed in your efforts. Now is the time to enhance your self-confidence – and I believe the following tips will help you achieve that goal:

Firstly, groom yourself. For instance, by taking a warm bath or shower that will make you feel assertive because you feel fresh and better about yourself. Embrace your unique style. This does not mean one must wear expensive outfits - simply dress in an outfit in which you feel comfortable, something which expresses your sense of style and personality. That will make you feel unique and bold.

Think positively. Be like a proton, always positive. Negativity will only bring you and your confidence down. Surround yourself with positive people and positive vibes, and that will make you feel more poised. Be true to yourself. Being yourself will make you happier and more self-assured. If you try to fulfil everybody’s expectations of you, that will slowly break you and you will never be happy because you are not being yourself. Never try to be somebody else, just be yourself and you will be a happy person.

Be kind and encouraging. This will help to improve your image and make you feel good about yourself. Live by the following words: “Do onto others as you would like them to do on to you.”

Stand tall. A good posture is key – and will make you look more attractive and will give you poise. Always aim higher, knowing that not even the sky is the limit.

Keep smiling. Smiling instantly make you feel better about yourself and it is a reflection that you are a happy person. Exercise. This will improve your health and physical appearance, and thereby making you feel better about yourself and giving you a more prominent presence. Set and achieve your goals. Start with smaller goals, which are easier to accomplish while aiming at achieving bigger ones. This will make you feel successful and that will ultimately increase your self-reliance.

Above all, always be prepared because preparation is the mother of success. Prepare for your tests and exams well in advance as that will earn you good marks. In return, when you are satisfied with your marks, you will feel happier and successful.

By following the above tips, you can expect to soon blossom into a more dependent, happier and stronger person – both mentally and physically. The benefits of having a high self-assurance are that you can be yourself and not be bothered with other peoples’ opinions. Another benefit is that you need no approval or constant validation of your personality. Success and self-assertiveness go hand in hand because you have the ability to accept and decline. The matter of the fact is that, if you maintain shigh self-esteem you are more likely to become successful.

Good luck on you journey to success and increased confidence.
