The barefoot day of the PSS

Private School Swakpmund

On the 18th of March 2016, our school, PSS had a small but memorable “Barefoot Day”.
Both teachers and learners came to school barefoot as a statement to aware that there are many people around us, who are less fortunate and have no shoes.
The rules for this event were quiet simple. Everyone had to come to school barefoot and bring a pair or two of their shoes that they wanted to donate.
At the end of that barefoot day, the SRC had collected 276 pairs. These were given to the children at the DRC Soup kitchen.
Furthermore, this was a great reminder to others of how appreciative one should be about everything they are privileged to have.
