The Namibian-Finnish international intercultural project
Beverley van RooiThe Namibia/Finland Intercultural Summer Camp has been running since 2002, and is a programme we are truly proud of. This camp allows learners to bridge the cultural gap, explore new horizons and develop a sense of responsibility. This year Finland will host the camp from 15-19 July 2019.Young people from Finland, Namibia, Spain, France and Russia will come together and get creative in the beautiful surrounding of the town Helsinki and Salla in Lapland. The youngsters will reflect on the visual cultures of the participating countries and have a taste of the complex Finnish Language. Our learners that will participate in this camp are: Shannah Mwanawina, Selma Alfred, Helvi Nevonga, Isabella Sinombe, Ngerimoukoto Tjironga, Ruzaan Links, Mrs B. van Rooi and Mr Ivan Tshabalala.
