African Stars ended the weekend at the top of the Debmarine Namibia Premiership table after collecting four points from their two matches at the coast.The defending champions now have 40 points from 21 matches, while Khomas Nampol, Young African FC and Mighty Gunners are all close behind with 37 points each.
FC Ongos, meanwhile, have slipped to fifth place with 35 points from their 21 games.
The shifts in the log standings were determined by a competitive weekend of mixed results, with several clubs failing to collect maximum points.
On Saturday, Mighty Gunners beat Julinho Sporting 3–1, while Khomas Nampol and Bucks Buccaneers played to a 2–2 draw.
African Stars secured three points with a 2–1 victory over Blue Boys, as Charles Hambira and Mbakondja Tjahikika scored for the defending champions.
Unam FC thrashed Young Brazilians 4–0, while Blue Waters overcame Young African 3–1 in a match marred by controversy, after Young African coach Marley Ngarizemo allegedly assaulted a match official.
Tigers FC lost 1–3 to KK Palace, while FC Ongos and Eeshoke Chula Chula played to a 1–1 draw. Okahandja United beat Cuca Tops 2–0.

After 15 matches each, Beauties (39 points) have FC Ongos Ladies (37) and African Stars Queens (35) breathing in their necks, followed by Khomas Nampol Ladies (31), Arrows Ladies (24), Unam Bokkies (23) and Julinho Athletic Ladies (23).
